John Lennon never visited Havana, but there is a statue of him

John Lennon could have visited Cuba with the Beatles and could have held one of the biggest concerts in history in Havana, only equaled by the one the Rolling Stones gave in 2016 in front of more than 1 million people. He could have done it, but for that concert to have taken place, the island would have had to have enjoyed other conditions, something that at that time did not seem viable. In that Cuba, everything that sounded like rock and roll was frowned upon.
It couldn't be, because of his music, his long hair or his ideas, but John Lennon never visited Havana. However, there is a statue of him, sitting, relaxed and with a lost look, on one of the park benches that also bears his name.
The English composer not only never set foot in Cuba, but his music, that of the Beatles, was prohibited between 1964 and 1966, because it was considered by the censors of the time as an imperialist symbol.
